Being a Better Drummer Since 2000

From a Drummer Who Needed Something Better.

My name is Ed Eblen. I have been playing drums since I was eight years old. That’s sixty years of living behind a kit — and it all led to this.

In the late 1990s I had a problem every serious drummer knows. Every practice pad on the market felt wrong. Dead rubber. No response. Nothing that actually felt like a real drum head. So I stopped looking for the right pad and built it myself.

I created ENDURAFLEX — a playing surface with real rebound, real response, and the kind of feel that actually translates to your kit. I strapped the first prototype to my knee, played it, and knew immediately that something special had just been born. That pad became the very first E-PAD! — the one we now call the ORIGIN. We started this company in 2000 right here in Simi Valley, California.

We took ENDURAFLEX to the NAMM show in the early 2000s. We were the only company there with anything like it. Years later the biggest names in the drum industry launched their own versions. They were following a trail E-PAD! blazed first.

Every pad we make is still handmade by hand right here in Simi Valley. No factory. No shortcuts. The same commitment to quality since day one.
